    15 October 2026

    New
    • Halloween edition, from 15 October to 15 November: 33 items to collect in a special shop, opened from the card at the top of the shop. Witch hat, Dracula cape, mummy and vampire costumes, black cat, glowing ghost, haunted castle… Whatever you buy stays yours after Halloween.
    • New phone? Transfer your buddy to an iPhone or Android with a QR code: just scan it with the camera. The code is encrypted, valid for 30 minutes and never goes through a server.
    • Tap your buddy's avatar at the top of the screen: a menu lets you switch buddy, transfer it or delete it.
    • Pick your language (French, Dutch or English) on the very first screen: the app remembers it.
    Improved
    • A brand-new welcome screen in Dim-Dong colours: pick your buddy at a glance.
    • Deleting a buddy now explains what will be lost and asks you to hold the button for two seconds: no more accidental deletions.
    • The shop opens faster.
    Fixed
    • The timer hints now show in your language.

    • Dim-Dong now speaks English, French, Dutch and German. The language follows your device — nothing to set up.

    • 6 animated buddies join Dim in his scene: Cat, Dog, Monkey, Panda, Tiger… and the Unicorn!
    • Two new outfits to earn: the Ninja outfit and the Samurai armour.
    • 10 new things in the shop: hachimaki headband, ronin hat, steamer lid, kabuto helmet, pirate eyepatch, monocle, suzu bell, magatama pendant, wagasa parasol and wooden geta.
    • Sell something from "My things" and get all its gems back (with a confirmation, so it never happens by accident).
    • Choose which belt Dim wears from the ones you have already earned, right on the judo kimono card.
    • New background engine: every scene is drawn for your screen, with no cropping.
    Improved
    • Things are grouped by slot (head, glasses, neck, back, shoes): no more odd overlaps.
    • The sky in backgrounds now starts below the progress bar.
    • The "Wear" button shows its label clearly in "My things".
    • Decorations and buddies now sit directly on the ground, with no drop shadow: the scene reads more clearly. *(update of 5 September 2026, delivered automatically)*

    • 8 backgrounds to unlock: bamboo forest, dojo, sushi restaurant, sakura garden, The Great Wave, matsuri festival, Neon Tokyo and the Moon.
    • Dim shows 5 feelings: happy, sad, angry, calm, scared.
    • "My journey" page: follow your levels and belts by tapping the level medallion.
    • A secret grandmaster belt for the players who earn it.
    • Support and privacy policy pages.
    Improved
    • Every brush counts: no more limit of 2 rewarded brushes a day.
    • A new belt every 3 levels, from white to black.
    • Numbers are easier to read (1 and 7 no longer look alike).
    • The app works 100% offline: no online service at all, everything stays on the device.
    Fixed
    • Large gem counts are no longer cut off.

    • First version of Dim-Dong: a 2-minute brushing timer paced across 4 zones, with a gentle buzz at each change.
    • Dim, your dim sum buddy, earns gems for every completed brush.
    • The shop: caps, crown, glasses, hero cape, katanas, dough colours… to buy with your gems.
    • The judo kimono whose belt changes colour with your level.
    • Up to 5 profiles on the same device, one buddy per child.
